Day 75 – Jack Nicholson in Silence of the Lambs
Here we are! Seventy-five percent complete. Only another twenty-five days (or five weeks, considering that new episodes are released M-F) and I will have exceeded my expectations in delivering something I’m pretty proud of. Today, I’m sharing my Jack Nicholson impression. Specifically, my modern Jack Nicholson impression (or as close as I can get to modern Jack without blowing out my voice first. He tends to sound weathered.) As for a context, I jumped in the deep end. I’m replacing an Academy Award winning performance with an impersonation of an incredibly talented actor in that role (or my interpretation of such). It’s a bit of a stretch.
The concept of inserting a celebrity into a film role they weren’t in was something I’d been thinking about since I started this project – but any time I tried, it didn’t blow my socks off. If memory serves, I recorded Jimmy Stuart as Buffalo Bill a couple months ago, but bailed on the idea after putting it together. It wasn’t as funny as I thought it would be. So, today, I’m re-thinking the casting a bit. Putting Jack Nicholson in a different role. I’m just jumping right into today’s episode – typing this, before I even record it.
Enjoy! Day 75 of the 100 Voices in 100 Days project: Jack Nicholson in Silence of the Lambs.
