Day 84 – Randy Newman Sings M.I.L.F. $

This morning, I learned that pop singer Fergie (notably, of the Black Eyed Peas) had released a new song called M.I.L.F. $ (pronounced “Milf Money”).  This was fortunate, as I was thinking of featuring my Randy Newman impression today, but I didn’t have a good concept.  After listening to Fergie’s song, I realized that the only way to cure me of hearing it was to give it the Randy Newman treatment.  If you haven’t heard original song, you probably won’t have to look far to find it.  The track is on Spotify and other online sources (and you can hear a clip at the earlier link in the post).

However, I’m going to make a case here that my interpretation of the song, through the lens of my ridiculous, bellowing Randy Newman impersonation, is as equally enjoyable – if not harder to get out of your head.

Thank you to Fergie and the countless writers, musicians, and producers who toiled to make M.I.L.F. $ into the song it is.  Thank you to Brandon Jensen for providing the instrumental in the style of Randy Newman.  And thank you to Randy Newman, one of the most brilliant songwriters alive today – my apologies for the atrocious (but admittedly humorous) imitation of you, and for mentioning your name in the same sentence as Fergie.
