Day 55 – Casey Kasem Returns Some Shoes

Today’s premise comes from my wife, Chris, who suggested I use my Casey Kasem impression to tell a tale of ill-fitting footwear and reverse commerce.  I went a tad further than that, but she planted the seed.

For decades, radio legend Casey Kasem ruled the airwaves with his various Top 40 Countdown shows.  In addition to being a music historian and radio icon, he was a voice actor, most notably the voice of teenage sleuth Shaggy in the Scooby Doo franchise.  He passed away in 2014, amidst controversy and lawsuits regarding his care (or lack thereof).  It’s a crazy story how his life ended in such a ridiculous sideshow – but hey, that’s none of my business.

I almost went the route of Shaggy returning shoes, but I’ve not really used any fictional characters in my 100 Voices project, so I figured I’d better stick to that rule.
