Day 96 – Geoffrey Rush Hits On An Anteater
I love spontaneity. Since starting the 100 Voices in 100 Days project back on March 1st of this year, I have found that my best work is often not what I set out to record at all. My favorite episodes have come from failing to get a planned celebrity impression dialed-in. If my voice isn’t hitting a specific celebrity’s tones, as a result, I would listen for who it did sound like and dial that impression in from there. I mean, why not take advantage of an uncooperative voice? If you’re messing up the notes you usually hit, go for notes you can’t usually hit. So, with that in mind, today’s voice was supposed to be Jason Statham. He wasn’t sounding too good, but I was hearing a decent Geoffrey Rush impression hiding in the failed Statham. Resiliency, plus awareness, equals something new.
Day 96 of the 100 Voices in 100 Days, featuring my Geoffrey Rush impression. He’s hitting on an anteater, because why not.
